Thud: Sugar
Nov. 1st, 2008 09:55 pmNovember 1, 2008 Progress Notes:
"Sugar"
Words today: 750.
Words total: 1625.
Reason for stopping: I had a goal of at least three pages for tonight, and now I have my three pages and may make my dinner.
Munchies: Bocconcini I was supposed to use for a caprese salad and just ate instead; mango juice; little coconut raspberry cookies, part of the post-wedding sweet table loot divvied to me.
Books in progress: Geoff Ryman, The Child Garden.
The glamour: I am, post-wedding and post-other family stuff and post-houseguests, heaving myself back into the saddle of a healthy routine. Killed support mail and slush, watered plants, did a double sinkload of dishes, filed papers, paid bills, garbaged things and took out said garbage, putter-tidied things that were in my path. And three and a half hours of writing.
I missed weekends. There's something very nice about being able to drag your sleep-deprived, exhausted self into bed and not come out until one in the afternoon, and then do your chores with no sense of urgency whatsoever. I would probably be more efficient if I sat down and made a list of chores first, but eh. Tomorrow's Sunday. I can make a list then.
In other news, I fully and unabashedly endorse Lush's Jungle conditioner. I used it for the first time last night. My hair is soft like a bunny rabbit.
