GOOD!

Nice busy day at work today.

BAD!

...most of which I spent dizzy and feverish.

GOOD!

Luckily, I did have a prescription for Naproxen and a nasal spray that is supposed to help clear up the sinusitis, and the Naproxen works; I think this is the first time in several weeks that my head hasn't hurt. And yes, I mean nonstop. One can apparently get used to a thing.

BAD!

Pity I didn't think of filling that prescription last week, when I got it. :p

GOOD!

At least I have a drug plan now for all the Getting Sick I've been doing since November.

BAD!

Why am I getting sick so much since November?

Bonus GOOD!

Even though I am dizzy/sick, in my humble opinion I was superlatively hot today (grey tights + knee-length officey skirt + black leather jacket + blue beret and handwarmers I made myself = really pretty hot, actually).

Bonus BAD!

I tried on the third-done sweater I have been working on for a month last night and the armholes are halfway down my boobs. Apparently this pattern Makes Assumptions About You based on your bust size. I may have to rip the whole thing and restart. >.<

Maybe tomorrow I'll be reconciled to that, but right now? Gah.

...oh, Bonus! BONUS! GOOD!

I bought my Worldcon membership!

on ripping...

we can commiserate together...I somehow managed to complete the entire front of a baby sweater and knit the buttonholes - which are meant to be by the neck - down at the bottom of the sleeve. Not sure I can fix it, so I stuffed it in a bag and am not going to look at it for a while.

Naproxen rocks, but be careful with it, when I was taking it for my hip I screwed up and took it too close together - knocked me out cold. I actually called my sister as I was passing out on the couch and told her to call me in three hours, if I didn't answer call 9-1-1. Not my brightest move, that...

But I'm glad you're feeling better!
= D

I hate ripping. It's against my religion. My sweater, too, is at the bottom of the bag where it won't show its face to me. :p

(Bah.)

Thank you for the warning. :) I am generally careful with pills -- I don't really like them all that much and they do weird things to my head -- but now I shall be extra careful.

I only just learned today that you can't go to the drugstore or grocery store or whatever and buy Aleve (AKA Naproxen) like you can buy Tylenol or Advil. That officially sucks.

(want me to pick up some Aleve for you next time I'm visiting my mom?)

Thank you for the offer, but s'okay. :) I usually get by just fine on Advil, I've just, well. Had a headache for a couple weeks now. :p

Naproxen is also hard on the stomach. I can't take it now, either prescription-strength or OTC in the US, because it tears my gut up something bad and any more, just one is enough to make me sick. But when I did take it, back when I had synovitis, oh, it was lovely until the gut rebelled. No knee pain at all and I was capering on top of logs out huckleberry picking (and the PT and docs were all flinching in shock YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!!! when I told them about how wonderful it was. Um--ooops)

There's clearly a whole bunch of laws of nature (closely related to Murphy's and possibly to bumblebees and flight as well) about knitting. My favorite *cue sarcasm*: how can a garment fit fine one day and then not fit the next, without anything happening in between? It's related to the Yarn Harlot's black hole, I just know it.

I'm now convinced I would like to read a Bellwether-esque story about someone researching knitting science, but it might have an audience of one.

(I do forget the ripping once the sweater fits, though. At least enough to start another.)

Ooh. That yarn black hole thing explains a lot.

(Ripping probably happens tonight. *weeps*)

Oh, yay, I'll get to see you at Worldcon! That rocks. (Hey, looking for roomies?)

Sorry about the sick though. Feel better. *pats Leah*
