The Sleeping Land

Reason for stopping: The most excellent P. is coming over for quality time.

Darling du Jour: He had a nose perfectly suited for handkerchiefs: long and flaring, with wide grey nostrils that complained like a wheezy cat.
Mean Things: Leaving home in that good-bad-good way. Also, I put icicles in someone's pompous waxed moustache.

Research Roundup: Siberia; silver mining; the Trans-Siberian Railway. I so very badly want to go on the Trans-Siberian Railway right now. I cannot even describe how much.
Books in progress: Sean Stewart, The Night Watch


...yeah. I don't know either. I had a thought while I was walking home from work, and all of a sudden it flowered and I was writing this thing, and it had a character, and inciting plot, and this delicious taste of white-blue snow.

I feel kind of irresponsible and yet sparkly all over. Wheeeee--
