On Roadstead Farm
Words today: 1,000.
Words total: 33,900 (so wrong it'll never be right).
Reason for stopping: That's a lot of words, and I could do other things with my evening.
Motivational Threat of the Day: None, today. Didn't honestly need one: this came out just fine.
Darling du Jour: Heron's rake bit tentatively through the grass, parting the flattened brown stalks like hair.
Mean Things: Lots of people trying really hard to not panic.
Research Roundup: N/A.
Books in progress: Sean Stewart, The Night Watch
Another slight mismatch in the totals today, but this time for a good reason: I realized that 350-odd of a really cool story Heron told about four versions ago now fits back into the working file. And copied and pasted it in. So it doesn't count as words written today, but it's there now, and not on the garbage heap.
I need to get out of this house, now. I'm sure there's somewhere I could be walking to.
