January 22, 2012 Progress Notes:
On Roadstead Farm
Words today: 600.
Words total: 13,200.
Reason for stopping: Checked every single one of my unraveled ends of scenes, and I have nothing to add to any of them.
Darling du Jour: He nodded behind the tea mug; likely some Miss had fallen into it and drowned.
Words Hallie Won't Admit to Knowing: easygoing.
Mean Things: The downside of having a god-killing hero is that most of the guys in the army behind him don't get a lot of credit. Thinking you've been Found! Out!. Unattractive sulking in adults. Snark!
Research Roundup: How one shingles a roof.
Books in progress: Alissa York, Fauna.
The wrong turn is about 4,000 words long. Yes, a large portion of those will be repurposed later, or used for parts, so I'm not taking them out of my MS total yet. Still. Shit.
The causality's been snipped, and untangled, and reknitted, and what was this happens, and then this happens has been readjusted to the more appropriate and awesome this happens, so this happens (aka, Connie Willis Plotting). We are now going the right way. I know because a whole bunch of better ideas about motivations and consequences showed up, and it's talking to me again. Still took all afternoon, but hey. We're talking.
