June 13, 2010 Progress Notes:
"The Closet Monster"
Words today: 2100.
Words total: 11,400.
Reason for stopping: That's a lot of words, and every single one of them was a slog.
Books in progress: Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote.
The glamour: Nada. Today has been totally and lovingly devoted to wording. Also, it was cloudy and icky outside and I wasn't hugely inclined to go out.
Laptop Debtkilla:
18700 / 17000 words. 110% done!
There. In a theoretical world where all these words sold for pro rates, I have just written myself a new laptop. They won't, of course, but this was a justification exercise for the heinous (and very necessary) amount of money I spent on that laptop, so that doesn't matter. Purchase justified.
I am now unaccountably sleepy, considering I spent the whole day parked in this desk chair. I think there's a TV show with my name on it for the rest of the evening. If even that.
