They took a long time. But they are warm.

Next, I return to the scene of my unfinished sweater and conquer that shit.

Ooooooh.

(I was going to add another L to "wooly," but you got here first. Woolly! It looks funny. But so does "wooly.")

Verra nice and toasty looking!

What pattern is it? My first pair were from on online tutorial in worsted weight so the knitting went with gratifying quickness.

They're Waterfall Socks (http://media.wendyknits.net/media/waterfall-socks.pdf). Hers are prettier than mine. But mine are mine. :)

Waterfall Socks (http://media.wendyknits.net/media/waterfall-socks.pdf)! A true pattern strong and (incidentally) free!

Is it evil crochet?

Handknit socks are always lovely, but those are better than average.

Oh hey, thank you. :) Up close there are lots of little screwups and such, but.

Imperfections are part of the character of this handcrafted garment.

You *have* heard of the galloping-horse test, yes?

From: [identity profile] txanne.livejournal.com
Q: Would the flaw be seen from the back of a galloping horse?
A: No.
Q: Okay then!

(or)

A: Yes.
Q: Do you care?
A: No, not really.
Q: Okay then!

Thank you! They are. And I probably should have bought some sock blockers while we were over at Knitpicks...

I have some bamboo sock yarn up next. Monkey socks!

It fills me with a particular glee to imagine a closet full of socks on such blockers. :)

My sock blockers are called "feet." I wash my socks in the washer, I dry them on the shower rail, I wear them and they look perfectly fine.
