Voodoo, some ennui

Had it with this nomail crap. I'm officially invoking The Voodoo. I expect my mail slot to be flooded with the overdue replies of editors...now. To aid The Voodoo in its mysterious ways, the query battalions have marched today. Although I have yet to figure out how to query about an unanswered month-old query on a three-month-old resub that was originally sent four months before that. I should not need to think about these things. After all, I've been good. I've contributed to the cosmic balance of slush karma by getting mine out the door again the day I get it.
Yeah. Voodoo.
I can't decide if the Pertinent Writing Post would be better expressed in poetry format. Holding off on it until I decide if it's a fictionable topic.
Everyone asks how my writing is doing, and so I mention the story in the December Realms of Fantasy, and I mention the fact that Toronto Book is finished, gone, done, and they exclaim over me and I feel like a cad. What have I done for me lately? Well, to be fair, lately I dayjob so as to pay the bills and the credit cards and not starve (in not-starving news,
sandwichboy is getting a raise. Woot!). I've been critting the books of several other people, and keeping the apartment non-squalorous, and reading yet more books to review for the store. But I'm not writing. Between projects. Feel like such a loserface. Someone get this guiltmonkey off my back?
Maybe I'll poke at something after work. Blargh.
