What I love about that plate is that it's the alternate spelling of "license", which makes me wonder if there's somebody else out there with the more common spelling.

As I've learned the hard way, that one's actually the correct nominal form. "License" is the verb.

Must be a Canada-US thing, since I checked on m-w.com before I posted and it listed "license" as a noun with an alternate of "licence." Maybe I should see about a Canuckistani on-line dictionary. (I don't trust the spellings we use at work because we always seem to use variant spellings.)
