August 14, 2008 Progress Notes:
Above
Pages today: 22.
Pages total: 131/264.
Reason for stopping: It was time to go
thesandtiger's for
dolphin__girl's going-away party. At which a good time was had by all.
Munchies: Party snacks.
Books in progress: Holly Phillips, The Engine's Child.
The glamour: One of the side effects of working in an office is that I am so overpeopled I can't even listen to music right now, because it's a human voice and thus screws with my focus something fierce.
Half a revision. Hunkered down in an overpriced cafe with some sweet potato fries after work and before the party, and got a big chunk of Chapter Six tomorrow. Hopefully I will have enough brain to finish the chapter on the subway tomorrow.
The pages look like a violet pen died a messy death all over them.

Tonight's bit of whimsy: I subscribe to a Freecycle list, on the rationale that someday soon I'm going to get rid of a few things (and it doesn't hurt to see what others have), and the first heading on it tonight was: Wanted: Oracle.
Sadly, it was about software. I may choose to believe otherwise.

Date: 2008-08-15 04:44 pm (UTC)I got it back enough to get through e-mail by turning all the lights off and just working in the dark. Maybe I'll unplug the phone this weekend. :p
