Thud: Sugar
Aug. 24th, 2008 02:23 amAugust 23, 2008 Progress Notes:
"Sugar"
Words today: 875.
Words total: 875.
Reason for stopping: It is way too late to be up.
Munchies: N/A.
Mean Things: I'm going to keep this under wraps for the time being, since it's actually possible to engage in spoilers here and I'd rather not have that.
Research Roundup: This too.
Books in progress: Michael Moorcock, Behold the Man.
The glamour: Last shift at the store. Spent more damn money on office clothes (need shirts badly). I categorically refuse to buy any more office clothes until at least winter.
This did not quite start off as the story I thought it was going to be when I agreed to write it. But the difference is a good one. I am happy with what I have here so far, the heartwood.
I also got a lot of notes for The Enchanted Generation while talking it out to
ringwoodcomics tonight. Explaining something is often the best way to find out what the hell I'm on about myself, it seems. And it's ambitious as hell, what I'm on about. I am not sure it's something I could do to my satisfaction just yet.
But it has a solid concept now, and a first few lines, and a soundtrack. Hopefully it'll sit itself still and wait its damn turn in line. :p
And with that, bed. Bed bed bed.
