March 9, 2007 Progress Notes:
"Bears"
Words today: 1000.
Words total: 1000 MS Word.
Reason for stopping: A nice round number, and I need to figure out just how they do what they're doing.
Liquid Refreshment: Water.
Munchies: Pasketti.
Exercise: N/A.
Mail: Galleys from Sybil's Garage. Which, may I say? Are gorgeous.
Darling du Jour: The next morning, Manda's knocking at my door waving five DVDs in hyper-grammatical semaphore. "I checked frame by frame, every one of them," she breathes, face fevered with caffeine and bad ideas. "There were bears setting up dynamite. There were bears putting arsenic in the sugar. Bears shot J.R.!"
Tyop du Jour: N/A
Words MS Word Doesn't Know: drownings, lightbulb, fundies, koolaid, allcaps
Mean Things: Bears!
Research Roundup: Down Syndrome, back issues of Batman, a detail of Beowulf.
Books in progress: John Cheever, The Complete Stories; Ru Emerson, The Drawing of the Three; Hal Duncan, Ink; Textbooks.
The glamour: It is finally the weekend! I get to...do my taxes!
This story is silly.
Nobody's ever going to buy it.
I am having so much fun.
That is all.
