January 16, 2007 Progress Notes:
The Patron Saint of Nothing
Words today: 750.
Words total: 25,300 MS Word.
Reason for stopping: Quota, bitch.
Liquid Refreshment: Water, Cyclone tea (decaf).
Munchies: Chicken stroganoff and brown rice.
Exercise: Two hours' walking.
Mail: Nomail.
Darling du Jour: "Go," she whispered from the space between nose and mouth, exhaled it sour into the trees with a topnote of imperative: bee-spit and sunlight and a flick of the food-smell that meant hunger.
Tyop du Jour: N/A
Words MS Word Doesn't Know: N/A
Mean Things: Case: Strapped to the hospital bed because they don't trust him not to run off on his one good leg. And oh, child, control your temper. It's not serving you well.
Lyss: Enjoy your snugglies while you get 'em.
Research Roundup: Aspens, Zulu bead code, Zulu colour symbolism, dye plants, indigo plants and production.
Books in progress: Katherine Mansfield, Selected Stories; Catherynne M. Valente, The Orphan's Tales: In the Night Garden; Jay Lake, Trial of Flowers; Textbooks.
The glamour: I got my hot water fixed this morning, conveniently five minutes before my alarm was to go off (the maintenance guy knocking woke me up). While I realize the lack of a daily hot shower is a First World Problem (tm), I missed my shower. My shower soothes me. It has nice water to dissolve ideas into my brain.
In celebration, and because it is cold and I am SO CRANKY right now like you wouldn't believe, I am going into my hot bath with my bath bomb from Lush and not coming out.
Day Eleven:
I have a remote army of all-seeing attack bees now.
Just for
ksumnersmith. *g*
No talk now. Bath now.
Go make me up some killin' styles instead.
