Liquid Refreshment: Water.
Munchies: Sushi. I have no food in the house, and was not inclined to rectify that after my shift tonight.
Exercise: Shelving.
Mail: Nomail.

Darling du Jour: One childhood summer Qara had bit into a half-rotted peach, and the tingling metallic thickness of congealed juice tasted just like the damp dirt squeezing between her lips.
Tyop du Jour: N/A
Words MS Word Doesn't Know: N/A

Mean Things: Qara and Sakhile, Rogue Xenobiologists: Being tied up! Eating dirt! Committing homicide! Guilt!
Case: Got the answer to a question he really didn't actually want.
Lyss: Bitchy bitchy roommate at a not-good time.
Research Roundup: Whale oil, history of gas stoves.
Books in progress: Katherine Mansfield, Selected Stories; Catherynne M. Valente, The Orphan's Tales: In the Night Garden; Jay Lake, Trial of Flowers.

The glamour: I was at Lush tonight to pick up some deodorant for my mom, who had asked this of me earlier this week, and decided to get myself a pair of bath bombs. Then the cashier said "well you have over $35 of stuff here, so you can pick out two more bath bombs or soaps or something for free". Now I have four bath bombs. Life is twice as good. :)

So I missed last night -- we were at Jana's until 11:30pm and thus, midnight slipped by without me having made words, but after today, I made the week on points.

Considering the workload I suspect I have coming out of school this semester, this may be the only week ever I make quota. :p

Language Acquisition yesterday afternoon, in which I Made A Friend (tm): the girl sitting next to me struck up a conversation and we found out we moved in some of the same circles as kids, even though she's three years older. Traded e-mail addresses and such. *g*

The class itself looks good -- the professor opened it with a few really funny anecdotes and then a screening of this Nature of Things episode on how children acquire language from the seventies. There were unfortunate haircuts. There was shameless eating up of broadcast time with cute small children doing cute toddler talk things that weren't strictly necessary to prove the points of the comprehension experiments. The part of me that is a hopeless goober for other people's small kids melted in a little happy puddle in the chair.

As for today, this sums it up well. Oh yeah, and we got a new Christopher Moore in and shelved a bit. :p

In conclusion: JesusChristtired. I'm crawling off to bed shortly.

Isn't LUSH the most amazing thing ever! :D I've never bought a bath bomb though...just toner, moisturizer, lip balm, and one of those cool seaweed masks.
What are those deodorants like?

I would have to ask my mom. *g* She seems to like it enough to send me trekking through the city for $25 worth. It smells nice, though, kind of sandalwoody.

(Bath bombs? They are love.)
