The Shortest Distance Between Points
Words today: 175.
Words total: 450.
Reason for stopping: This is no longer saying what I thought it was. And it's flash, so I'm really figuring out the end bit. And I sooo donwanna tonight.
Tea: Iced oolong tea.
Munchies: Enough cherries that I started feeling sick. Mmm, cherries.
Exercise: 30 minutes elliptical, 25 reps arm weights, 15 reps leg weights, 12 reps pushy arm weights. Yes, that is a technical term.
Mail: Nomail.
Other Writing-Related Work: Three crits on the workshop, answered some e-mail, slushed.
Darling du Jour: Nothing particular today.
Tyop du Jour: N/A
Words MS Word Doesn't Know: N/A
Mean Things: Wasted work. I'm not actually quite sure right now, but I know whatever's doing here, it's mean.
Books in progress: Tobias S. Buckell, Crystal Rain; Iain M. Banks, The Algebraist
The glamour: Spent most of the day buying groceries, which were too heavy to lug back and required me to spend a token for the streetcar.
An aloe vera plant followed me home last night after class. I wasn't going to let it in, but it made big green spiny eyes at me and sniffled. I'm a sucker.
Also, had the first step of growing avocado plants from avocado pits demonstrated to me at my parents' house on Sunday night. I bought four avocadoes today for this purpose, and also to make guacamole and/or avocado/tomato salad, and because they were four for five bucks.
I'm not actually hungry right now, but I really really want to start the avocado plants.

Date: 2006-06-21 03:32 am (UTC)Then you fill the cup with water up to...about halfway up the nut. And you keep it wet and put it somewhere sunny, and I'm told roots and things show up after a little while if you do this.
We are currently running the experiment. :)
