Short day today, and a quiet one, and a stress-free one. Happily, Chris assembled the coffee and breakfast order last night, and so neither of us had to go hunting for it downstairs once the table was set up. We launched Lust for Life, an anthology edited by Claude Lalumiere and Elise Moser, and generally hung around chatting with people until it was time to load out. It was beautifully air-conditioned in the dealer's room this afternoon, and it is horrifically hot in the City of Toronto today. There were snacks. It was ascertained that Derwin needs to write a book entitled Derwin Mak's Rough Guide to Being Secure in Your Masculinity!*

We sold books.

We loaded out in about 25 minutes, which is a new speed and efficiency awesomeness record. *g*

I keep searching for overall comments to make on the con, but I really can't, since I attended one (1) reading and spent the rest of it in the dealer's room. The hotel staff was on the whole very nice, the concom and volunteers equally very nice, and we made some friends. Also, they had chocolate in the green room. I suppose that's a good and worthwhile weekend. :)

Making the trek now to my parents' place for a Father's Day barbeque that apparently involves salmon. Need to do groceries too, but I will probably wait until after dinner for that: as we all well know, I am not eating unless my grandmothers have physical proof of my eating, ie they give me random food supplies and refusal is not an option. After that we'll go shopping. *g*

And I'm off.

*For those who do not know him, Derwin is known in the Toronto fandom and writer's community for his tendency to cosplay satirical skits in very well-constructed dresses. He has also visited over 100 locations of Hooters and did not, like the person in the anecdote that started this conversation, worry that wearing a Gaylaxicon badge would make others think he is homosexual.

Hee -- it's cool. I actually saw you a few times and thought "nah, he looks really busy" and decided not to bug you myself.

I did, yeah. It was a chance to see a lot of people I haven't spoken to in a while, and that is always nice. And did I mention con five minutes walk from home? *g*
