Mean Things: Transmutation, courtship rituals that are like work, social discord, lots of swearing and governmental conspiracy some more.

The glamour: The maintenance person for the building is coming to change the A/C filter tomorrow. I must move my desk over a few feet so he can do this.
My arugula is flowering. It looks like it exploded. As the coriander next to it is not to be outdone, it is sending up new shoots at the speed of light.
The sage, mint, and marjoram think they are very juvenile, and the lemon balm has no comment at this time.
Also, It looks like I will be attending Gaylaxicon 2006 this weekend, for values of attending that equal working the bookstore's table in the dealer's room all weekend and probably not seeing much of anything else during dealer's hours. I will try and hang out later, though, since the hotel's actually just a few blocks from my place and so travel is not an issue. Anyone else going to be there?
