There's something to be said for holding to a sharper degree of honesty.
Well, there is. And I hope I am a fairly honest soul. But there's a sort of very tricky balance between avoiding Saying The Thing That Is Not, avoiding pedantry (if there's a kind of geek that I find incredibly challenging, it's the kind of geek who cannot let either a small and unimportant error or a smidge of hyperbole go by without immediate and lengthy correction), avoiding rudeness, and keeping strangers out of my business.
