Send for me a ghost.
Jan. 23rd, 2012 07:02 pmJanuary 23, 2012 Progress Notes:
On Roadstead Farm
Words today: 600.
Words total: 13,800.
Reason for stopping: Running to the edges of the words I have in me.
Darling du Jour: We didn't speak for two weeks; fourteen silent suppers before Thom brought us, subtle, into a conversation about the hens laying and there we were, talking: trapped into it.
Words Hallie Won't Admit to Knowing: obliquely, and I can't say I blame her.
Mean Things: People trying to protect you, and you reading it as lack of love.
Research Roundup: Common trees of Michigan, and then tree symbolism. Yes, I still spend ten minutes on the symbolic implications of a word choice for a metaphor where nobody but me will ever notice it.
Books in progress: Erin Saldin, The Girls of No Return.
Finished early today! Ha-HA!
Now I'm going to do some authory things, and eat bad-for-me fried food, and watch The Glass Key. 'Cause I can.
