April 4, 2010 Progress Notes:

"The Closet Monster"

Words today: 2000.
Words total: 6400.
Reason for stopping: It's late, and this is a tidily round number.

Books in progress: Keri Hulme, The Bone People.
The glamour: After the last three days' extended bout of being social, I am today very housey: baked bread, made gazpacho, burned through some slush, wrote blog posts, did some Shadow Unit work, and accomplished minor housework. Maybe not enough, but hey, still one day left in this weekend to clean this bathroom of mine.

Fell into this tonight as a result of having some SU work to do, and there went three hours that I wasn't planning on using up, thank you very much. In the long run, though, it's work with a deadline and therefore time used virtuously.

Laptop Debt Kill:

12600 / 17000 words. 74% done!

And now, an attempt to get to bed at a decent hour. Can she do it? Let's find out!

I guess we'll just split the difference on those priorities.

Reason for stopping: I have been summoned out to patio time. It being a lovely day, surely I would be a fool to say no.

The glamour: Not huge! Mostly got up, perused my internets, had lunch, and settled down to write.

I could honestly keep going right now: the momentum seems to be back on this one, and I know where it's going and I know where it's been, and if I can keep my brainpan clear of other business I might even be able to wrap up the draft this week (and wouldn't that be nice?).

But y'know, it's 22 C outside and a holiday, and really, what am I doing in here before sundown?
