A Desktop Named Sue
Jul. 8th, 2008 08:12 pmJuly 8, 2008 Progress Notes:
Above
Words today: 3000.
Words total: 77,000 MS Word, 92,500 SMF.
Reason for stopping: Lightning storm. Brainsqueeze. New puter.
Munchies: Stash iced tea. Haven't had dinner yet.
Darling du Jour: Not now. Busy.
Words Matthew Won't Admit to Knowing: N/A
Mean Things: Everything.
Research Roundup: N/A.
Books in progress: David Devereux, Hunter's Moon.
The glamour: Job apps, groceries, and apartment-tidying.
I'm not even going to try to guess about draft length anymore.
Stopping for a bit, because my new computer mentioned in remembrance of posts past has arrived. It already has a name: Mary Sue Desktop, for it is sparkly and strangely attractive and has fifteen million gigs of everything, and all the other characters love it and it will save the Enterprise when not even Wesley Crusher can.
I have no idea how long it's going to take me to set up Mary Sue, so I'm plugging her in and going to run what I can run, and we'll see if I have to switch the 'net connection over to her or keep it on this machine and work or what. So. Gonna set up Sue for downloading.
And then back to this draft.
