September 15, 2007 Progress Notes:
"The Ground Whereon She Stands"
Words today: 250.
Words total: 250.
Reason for stopping: It's late, and this seems to need research for every line. And then rewriting of every line four times because I have lost the discrete art of writing a sentence.
Tea: Iced Stash raspberry.
Munchies: Mandarin oranges and cottage cheese
Exercise: Shelving.
Mail: Textbooks ordered from Amazon for half the price they're at in the university bookstore.
Darling du Jour: Alice sent me flowers. I didn't realize until midmorning, when I walked through the hallway into the kitchen and greening stems twisted and crushed under bare feet.

Mean Things: I'm not sure yet. I don't know enough.
Books in progress: Textbooks.
The glamour: You know you have too many things in your apartment breaking when you are so comfortable with the maintenance guy that, when he shows up, you say "I'm just going to take my shower, okay?" and head to the bathroom to do just that. It occurred to me later that may have made him uncomfortable, but really, I was tired and only had an hour and a half for my shower and breakfast whether he was there or not.
We'll not call this a resumption of Writing (tm). I am still a little skittish about that, and would rather let my brain do whatever it's doing at the moment. But it should also not go unlogged.
