Thud: The Earthly Ascension...,
Jul. 27th, 2006 10:44 pmJuly 27, 2006 Progress Notes:
The Earthly Ascension of Ducky Cheung
Words today: 1000.
Words total: 4250.
Reason for stopping: I want my dinner, and this is a nice round number.
Tea: Just water.
Munchies: That is the current question, yes.
Exercise: 30 minutes walking.
Mail: There is a package waiting for me at the post office! I think it's probably contributor's copies, but we do not find out until tomorrow.
Other Writing-Related Work: Slushed.
Darling du Jour: Pings are whizzing through the water at the speed of light, leaving little trails like cartoon crosshatching down below.
Tyop du Jour: N/A
Words MS Word Doesn't Know: privater. 'Cause it's technically not a real word, but eh.
Mean Things: Underwear shopping, voyeurism, alienation well past one's teenage years.
Books in progress: Tobias S. Buckell, Crystal Rain; Iain M. Banks, The Algebraist
The glamour: I got 91% on my midterm, so the fretting was obviously for naught. This was worth going to class through the torrential rainforest-style ten minute storm this afternoon for.
Things I'm glad I didn't go to my grave without:
matociquala on impostor syndrome and related topics.
Thanks to everyone who gave congrats on the sale and stuff. :) I'm not always great about responding to the rare yaying that happens in comments -- hell, I'm not great about answering pertinent e-mail -- but I do always appreciate it.
I had something to say, but I just got hit with a double-fist punch of hungry and tired, and am going to make myself dinner instead.
