aka Things Leah Wants to Get Done Today, Even Though She Overslept Because it's Dark as the Apocalypse Out There:

1) Season cast-iron pan, so one can make chicken legs and boeuf bourguignon again.
2) Take bagged-up old clothes over to charity store. (Will do this tomorrow -- don't want to haul clothes through the rain)
-- 2a) Quickly poke through last drawer of unsorted clothes to see if anything else should be in those bags.
3) Do Syntax assignment due on Thursday, which looks simple but is probably hiding secret depths of complicated. (yes, it has secret depths of complicated; I'm going to compare notes with other people in class before doing a final draft)
4) Do at least first part of Sociolinguistics assignment, which is simple, just needs time and attention devoted to it.
5) Read for both classes next week. (Read for Sociolinguistics.)
6) Clean the kitchen while it is on the verge of needing it, rather than waiting for when it really needs it.
7) Finally, revise the end of Claire de Lune (about fifty pages left) and call that the second draft.
8) If (and only if) there are brains left at the end of that, put at least a thousand more words onto The Sorceress's Assistant

ETA:

9) Do one load of dark laundry and one load of towels.
10) Make dinner.

Yes, this is the exciting and glamourous life of the Urban Writer. *g*

Kettle's on. Best get started.
