It's incredible. Not two days ago I couldn't look at this book but for feeling stuck and despairing, and now I can't look at this book (even to find my Darling) without the irresistible urge to tack on just one more sentence. I was going to stop at 1500 words. Then 2000. I swear. I think this has to do with getting past all the sex stuff and being back into good old blood and rhetoric.
Also got another chunk of signposting, and I know how we're getting to the next port of call and most of what happens there. Hopefully we can cut some of the Standard Quest Fantasy Walking All Over Hell And Back. Almost to the ocean. Almost there.
It's a good thing I don't have a huge amount of non-writing projects going right now. God, is it a good thing.
