Thud: Lost Wax, Book Report

This is turning into one of those Water Torture stories: where you get a sentence here, one at the end, one at the beginning, maybe a paragaraph of the middle, an idea for that scene later, drip, drip, drip, nothing in sequence or continuously. I always worry about these: I'm never sure after I have a draft if there's anything like a sustained emotional note or arc in them, because nothing carried over from the last thing, because it was all written out of order.

And now time to water plants, quickly shower, and get ready for the Mines, which promises to be pretty excruciating tonight: trainee + painfully shortstaffed + 30 degrees Celcius which means 40 degree kitchen. IthinkIcanIthinkIcan...
