Finally figured out how this chapter goes and got moving again. Watched the Mythbusters vaporize a cement truck. Science is always more fun when it involves major explosions.

Bed now. :)

Have finished a few novels this week, and thus, book reports in brief. Each one is behind a cut to prevent spoilery badness from reaching the eyes of you, the reader.

The Wizard Hunters, Martha Wells )

Alphabet of Thorn, Patricia McKillip )

Metallic Love, Tanith Lee )

Yes, I'm getting stupidly picky about my reading. I think it's writer's disease. I'll probably have The Autumn Castle (which I didn't expect to like much and have ended up really, really liking) finished by tomorrow, so I can get a new haul of new releases and read them next week.

For the meagre bit of today I have left before I go to work, I'm hoping to do my Hugo nominations (due tomorrow!), run a few bank errands, have lunch, and generally not rush myself too hard while I still have my brain and can type complete sentences.

And off I go.

Got more when I got home from work, unexpectedly. Go figure.

I have a partial list for people who want to read this beast, but if you do too (it helps a lot to have read the first, so you're not confused as all hell), let me know. I'm sending out the first 125 pages or so for shredding constructive critique tonight and tomorrow. Return bribes favours will be...well, returned, in crit or in drinks or in chocolate. *g*
