Five Random Things Make a Weekend

1) On the sum, I think I spent about half of this weekend shoveling e-mail out of my inbox: Ideomancer e-mail, support e-mail, personal crits-I-owe e-mail (and there are still crits I owe, let me tell you), auction e-mail, domain renewal e-mail, endless e-mail. This is...kind of frightening. I am hoping this is just magazine startup/seasonal, because I do not plan on spending every Saturday in my pajamas in front of my computer shoveling out e-mail and every Sunday doing house chores.

2) Maybe all that shoveling's worthwhile, because we (and I) got a shoutout on Tor.com this weekend. Go go mighty Ideots!

3) Two good nights' sleep help get rid of that racking, painful chest cough that wouldn't go away. Memo: sleep more. Abuse your body less. You need it, where you're going.

4) As [livejournal.com profile] tanaise said, frogging means not only never having to say you're sorry, but that nobody will know you even dropped the stitch and screwed everything up for two rounds.

5) I need to decide if I'm actually going to Wiscon this year. On the one hand, I've gone twice and noted a distressing lack of Actually Doing Shit which I'm not sure is worth spending $800 on. On the other hand, my friends will probably get mad at me if I don't, and you know, I could always be a little more proactive and Do Shit myself.

Thoughts?

And a sale.

Announcements appear to be happening, so I will announce too:

"Six", which some of you will know as a story about gardening, roof-sheep, and the apocalypse, will appear in Clockwork Phoenix 2.

Since the other acceptances I've seen announced on the friendslist include [livejournal.com profile] swan_tower and [livejournal.com profile] maryrobinette (ETA: and [livejournal.com profile] experimeditor, [livejournal.com profile] ann_leckie, and [livejournal.com profile] handful_ofdust), consider me composed of chuffed with a side of pleased and some yay! to go.

Oh, also?

Dear People Who Steal the Laptops of Writers:

If you ever cross my path, I will peel your larynx out from the bottom up with my bare goddamned hands.

Kisses,
