It's been raining off and on today, and now when I look out my window, five of the thirty or so trees I can see are showing tiny little green leaves. Yay leaves! Down with tree nakedness! They're mostly the smaller ones; the big tall ones are still heavily budding, but no green yet. I'm starting to see insects too, which for some reason I've pegged as a sign of spring. Around here we have some birds year-round (mostly the pigeons) and so that's not a really trustworthy indicator, but bugs seems to be. Now all I need to do is find a garden centre somewhere in the downtown core and set up the balcony garden sometime soon.
