I know it's difficult at this point, but I'm going to ask that we not ascribe too much motive, in this space, to large swathes of people on reactions they haven't had yet. We don't know what fandom is going to do, even leaving aside that fandom is not a monolith. There is enough to be unhappy about in this situation without us generating more preemptively.
