That is actually almost precisely my calm. When you have recurring (low-grade, now) anxiety, a cool, complete calm also means joy down to your fingertips. :)
Already forgotten. Of course, when I read the whole book those last few lines will be resonant and lovely and linger in my mind long after I've finished reading, as such things should. *g*
(Though really, based on the first chapter, had the ending been something else I would have been surprised.)
And not having to do any of a) get up, presentable, and out b) make your own celebratory what-have-you, or c) acquire said what-have-you in advance and risk having it go bad/consuming it in despair as the end keeps moving away, is an advantage to working in coffee-shops that had not occurred to me. Nicely done.
Definitely take some time. My brain's too far in the details, and half the problem at the end was I was too close and lost the plot (figuratively, not literally).
I need to back off this and fill my head with other stuff before I do any editing work.
