Readercon, Readercon, Does Whatever a Reader Can
Thanks to some craftiness from my mother? I am going to be definitely attending Readercon this year. Whee!
The question was affordable transportation. I had a thought about trying Skybus and just sucking up the extra day I'd have to take on either side, or taking the train and sucking up the 24+ hour trip each way, but my mother both inquired about flights from Buffalo.
Flights from Buffalo are cheap.
A bit of monkeying with that and getting a train ticket home from Buffalo and my mom offering to drive me to the Buffalo airport to get there in good time for the flight out, and I am going to Readercon. For a very small and affordable amount of money.
Summary: My mom is awesome. And I'm going to Readercon. :)
Who else'll be there?

You should convince that delightful Canadian giant squid to come down with you if he isn't already. I, and no doubt others, owe that dude some beer. I'd even buy you one! OF course, the loonie is doing stellar against our dollar so... Can I have five bucks to buy you that beer? :)
