I've...kind of gotten used to that, at the same time as having let it go myself? I was very concerned with accuracy in all things as a kid. It kept my universe ordered and stable, and it was important that Correct and Incorrect be delineated and stable. I'm a lot more sympathetic to the tendency because of that, I think.
